Ernst Zermelo

Ernst Friedrich Ferdinand Zermelo was a German logician and mathematician, whose work has major implications for the foundations of mathematics. He is known for his role in developing ZermeloFraenkel axiomatic set theory and his proof of the wellordering theorem.
